The President of Vesque Partners, Thomas Vesque, a long time donor, over the years has seen blooddonations seriously drop off. It is a very disturbing reality that when blood is needed for lifesaving medical treatment, it may not be available. Without more eligible blood donors offering to donate blood either at the local blood center or an organized community blood drive event, we are all at risk. Mr. Vesque has a very strong commitment to blood donation in his community. Because he works in the city and lives on Long Island, he supports both areas. He has been donating blood for almost 18 years. The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation was created in 1971 by a small group of parents of children with diabetes – parents committed to finding a cure for this devastating disease.
Driven by hope and fueled by the need to end their children’s suffering, they banded together to support a promising research program at the University of Miami solely aimed at curing those living with diabetes.
Today, the DRI Foundation is the organization of choice for those who are serious, passionate and committed to finding a cure for their loved ones and millions of others with diabetes.

| The Pajama Program |

The Pajama Program, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, provides warm pajamas and books to needy children in the United States, and around the world, many of whom are waiting and hoping to be adopted. These are youngsters who may not know the comforts of a mother or father to tuck them into a cozy bed and read them a bedtime story. Too many have been abandoned, most are deprived of any love at all.
Their mission is to provide a loving environment for children who have lived through a great deal of hurt in their young lives to give them hope for a better tomorrow. The program identifies key institutions in major cities in the U.S. and other countries where children are living temporarily as they wait and hope for adoption.
It is to the children in these circumstances and temporary living quarters that the pajamas are delivered with love and affection. The Pajama Program was founded in 2001 by Genevieve Piturro and Alice Pagano Quirk.
